What makes a good tee?
Here are some things to consider when designing a tee:
Is this something that the Threadless audience would like? (Check out designs
that are for sale in the catalog to see what’s popular.)
Is my design executed technically well?
Is my concept clear?
Has a similar design been done before? If so, how have I improved on the concept
or execution? (Check out all past printed Threadless designs at

Have I listened to critiques and feedback given to me to improve my design?
Is my presentation well done? Is the image saved in a high quality format?
Have I followed the rules for submitting and have created something that is
physically printable?

Submission Dropped Early
All submissions will be up for the full 7 days of voting unless, after the first 24
hours of voting, the submission does not score well, or does not get a sufficient
number of votes. If this is the case, the submission will be dropped from the
running after one day.
We realize this can be frustrating, but this policy is in place so designs that don’t
have a chance of being printed don’t overwhelm the voting page.
Don’t get discouraged if this happens to you! It has happened before to many
printed artists. Take is as an opportunity to rework your design, make it awesome
and resubmit it!

"If your Design is selected for use by Threadless.com, you acknowledge that you assign to skinnyCorp LLC and its subsidiaries and affiliates (hereinafter collectively "Threadless.com") the entire right, title, and interest in and to the copyright in your Design including the right to sue for past infringement and the right to further sublicense the Design, for its sole and exclusive use on and in connection with the Items. You also acknowledge that you waive all "moral" rights that you may have in and to your Design.

If your Design is selected, Threadless.com may use your Design in any manner on or in connection with the Items, including but not limited to: reproducing the Design on the Items, selling Items bearing the Design, changing or reworking the Design by making color or size changes, making derivative works of the Design, using the Design on the Threadless.com website and on promotional material for Threadless.com, and registering the Design with the US Copyright Office in the name of SkinnyCorp LLC as the Claimant, and you as the Author. You agree to provide Threadless.com with minimal information as may be required in order to register the copyright in the Design if Threadless.com so requests, at no cost.

You may use or continue to use the Design for any other purposes, except those described below.

If your Design is selected, you may not use the Design (or derivatives of the Design) or allow others to use the Design (or derivatives of the Design) on any Items, as described above. In addition, by submitting your Design, you may not reproduce, sell, or submit the Design to others for any commercial purpose for ninety (90) days after the date of submission while the Design is being evaluated by Threadless.com. Once the ninety (90) days have passed, if your Design is not chosen for print by Threadless.com, you are free to use the Design for any commercial or non-commercial purpose.
