Here's a contest I'm entering - my first! Lots of other entries so I don't expect to win, but I'm having fun. Plus, it's a nice cash prize as well, so who knows...

I'd love some feedback on what I've done. The brief said with or without shoes, and is asking for 2 views, front and side. This is just the front at the moment. I've also got another cartoon sketched up that I hope to do tomorrow.

Well, I've submitted my entries. One green chicken with shoes, one green chicken barefoot. Yup, it was fun to do and I'm hopeful. Even if I don't win, I've created a couple new things to use myself. I really need to redesign my website to focus more on cartoons and less on my Zazzle store.

Simon, mine are #75 and 76. I thought I included them in my gallery here too...but looks like I didn't include all of it.

96 entries, the last I checked! Mine might not win, but I like them and will include them on my website when I eventually get to a redesign of it.

Okay I see now. @ Kathy, I like your leaning towards this iconic logo- type stuff. There is a huge demand for this kind of work particularly if you can deliver in vector. Check out the work of Chud Tsankov who posted on our Facebook Group.

Well, there's lots of entries that look great, so I suppose it comes down to what the client likes best. Thank you all for your kind compliments!

Simon, I'd love to do more characters but I definately do NOT want to make logos. I'll make the character or mascot, or do some cartoon illustrations but I really dislike trying to come up with a logo. We will see where that takes me.

I have a program called AAA logo it is fab if you're going to add logo design to portfolio,

I was asked to create a logo for client this morning , not sure if he'll like it, but with this software you can create a very original unique logo by manipulating the massive library of images fairly easily.

I'm not necessarily talking about logos as such but clip art that people use for business presentations and web banners and such. I understand that the thought of conceptualizing a logo can be a bit daunting.

Not daunting so much as boring. I don't enjoy the business world and I don't want to work on logos and branding of businesses. I tried web design for awhile, but I didn't like it primarily because it was so business oriented.

So I'll make the graphics and cartoons and someone else can put together the logos! Or I'll do cartoon illustrations, I enjoy that too.
