Christmas and the Recession - gag cartoons

I have always wondered what Santa Claus would do if he suffered from the same financial difficulties that we will all go through this year. What cuts would he make to his factory? Who would lose their jobs? How would he reduce cost in production and what actions would he take to make other savings? Would he spoil the magic of Christmas once he has reduced the deficit? Well, over the next weeks, leading up to Christmas I will publish what decisions Santa could make. Stay curious. Check out my website for more pics: http://www.themagnificentmindofhaydnlock.com/haydn.php

Have a MERRY XMAS.

Love, Light and Peace......

These are excellent Smile

Welcome to the forum.

I had a similar idea myself last year and drafted a cartoon whereby santas elves were leaving lapland with their suitcases and sad faces and were being replaced by mice. Reason santa gave the elves was that he had to 'downsize' due to the recession.

I didn't get any further with it than the draft but your cartoons reminded me Smile
Love the colours!

There is so much material to play with. I too shut Santa's factory and moved it to Poland for cheaper labour.

There are more Santa stories to come.
