How to get better at drawing cartoons

Post by Leah-Admin on Thu 11 Nov - 8:32

Practice every day
Get a book on 'how to draw cartoons'
Look at samples of existing cartoons

Most important though is to practice every day

I looked over some of my earlier cartoons yesterday......GRIM!!
Today's cartoons are better, but not as good as they will be tomorrow and not as good as they will be in two years. That is the beauty of art and the beauty of practice. Improvement is guaranteed!

Haha, how recognizable. Very Happy Thoughts: "How could I ever think THAT was a good drawing?!?"

You forget something in the list.
Learn NEW things. (Yes, I said that some times earlier on this forum. But come on: it IS important and it keeps your work fun and refreshing.)
