How do I upload images into the gallery?

I'm new here so please forgive the simple question.
How do I upload images into my gallery?

Hi CatooningGenius, Very pleased to have someone of your caliber on board!
We are still very much in our infancy (about a week old) so please don't be put off by the basic lack of content so far.....we are going from strength to strength very rapidly.
To upload an image to the gallery, simply select "Gallery" (after "Home" and "Calendar" in the top menu bar) and in there, click on the very cute pic of the gallery done by our Leah. At the top left you will see "upload pic". Now I don't know if it's just me, or a glitch in the forum software, but for me, this is flickering every time and I cant select it. If this is the case for you as well, simply select the "refresh page" icon on the far left of your browser toolbar.
Once in there, you can enter info into the "image" and "picture description" fields. The third field down, you get an option to "Upload picture from your machine". To the right of this is a button that says "Browse". Find your image on your hard drive, select "add file" and then "save".
We are looking forward to seeing some of your genius!!!!

Now if I could only figure out a way to delete an image from there.......?
There is also a facility to set up "My personal album" by the way.

Thanks for your reply.
I think the problem was I was using the Safari browser and the image buttons weren't showing. So went into Firefox and everything is fine in that browser!
