"News-Democrat editorial cartoonist Glenn McCoy won the best in magazine gag cartooning award at the 64th Annual Reuben Awards Banquet in Jersey City, N.J.

This is McCoy's fourth win in the category and his 10th award overall from the National Cartoonists Society.

The society, founded in 1946, is the world's largest organization of professional cartoonists. Awards are voted on and presented by fellow members of the group.

"I look at awards, in general, as sort of a pat on the back, so having the award come from my peers and fellows cartoonists makes it a little bit more special," said McCoy, 44, of Swansea."
