I don't think I'll be hitting the big time..any time! Smile I would though like to be able to do at least three comissions a week to replace my writing (I only work part time what with kids, bloke and dog to look after...not forgetting moggy who can though look after himself!)

I must must must learn how to use that software. My initial peek several weeks ago revealed it had some very good features and would be helpful re caricatures re clients at some point. I don't think I need anything more expensive.

So some nagging in that dept is required!! I haven't looked at it yet.

What software? I know illustrator and photoshop well enough, I'm sure others here probably know them even better, maybe we can help get you started Smile

Hi Eileen

Thanks for the offer.

I have been very bad and haven't even attempted this part of my April goal yet though I have one week left! As a result I can't recall the name of it as it's in a locked cupboard in my lounge. I think I will make Tuesday the day to master it!

It is the package that came free with my wacom tablet. My initial peep at it a while ago assured me it has some very useful features, especially regarding caricatures.

Leah is talking about her Wacom tablet I think. I also bought a Nisis one years ago and never used it. Not for want of trying. The instructions were in Chinese! I'd really like to give a Bamboo a try or indeed a Wacom, or are they the same thing? I will get round to it one day when I'm not so bloody skint all the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pale

(edit: Ah I see we posted at the same time Leah)

That wacom cost me £50 ish. I think it is the Bamboo (maybe that's the name of the software?). I need to unlock that cupboard! I'm so lazy about these things. it's like putting the washing away.

Meanwhile I am pretty sure you can claim the tablet as business expense.

I've got a Bamboo Fun, I think it came with Photoshop Elements but I'm not sure. I have Adobe CS4 so I didn't install the extra program. I've already got more than I need or can handle! Anyway, I love the tablet and it works with Photoshop and lllustrator, so I'm happy.

Yes. If you have Cs4 then don't install everything. Do "custom install" as opposed to "typical" and choose those which you want. (PS) It's more economical on your HD and it's all you need. I will catch up with you eventually.

My other photo was taken by my daughter when she was 3 (she's now almost Cool so yes it was a bit out of date. I haven't changed much though. In fact, courtesy of Invisalign I've improved!
