I'm not too god at drawing actual, existing people rather than made-up characters, but here is a quartet that will probably have no meaning whatsoever to anyone who's never watched "Stargate: SG-1"!

Haha, thankyou for the compliment! Laughing

I think David Bowie was in Labyrinth, don't recall him in the Stargate movie.

I have yet to be published, but I think that's down to my own complete lack of ability to self-promote!

Found another one, Richard "Hamster" Hammond;

I just make dribs and drabs from the Freelance sites atm. Picasso never had google did he?

Have a browse at some of these threads in the meantime.....

I remember an episode with some satelite network that is used to laser down Russia... Or is that a different series?

However, awesome drawings! Have you tried coloring the drawings in a photo-shop program? The hand-colored versions look really neat, so I wonder how great they would look when colored on a computer.

I don't do digital, I'm afraid - could never get the hang of it, and I prefer the hand-coloured look. Not to say that digitally-coloured pieces are bad or wrong, they're great, but it's just my personal preference. Smile

I think scanners - and photoshop - are pretty sympathetic to pencil sketches..

I know it's the opposite to the crisp clean bold outline of the traditional cartoon (originally drawn that way for the litho printed newspapers, and at small sizes). but i like it.
NIce crisp design, Simon and gorgeous hair!

Good work Dark fights. I am a big fan of the SG series and I enjoyed seeing your drawings here. nice crisp style and good color work. you should look into children's illustration work. There are so many sources you can find on the internet for finding freelance work. i think you would do well and stay busy. good luck.

Nice shading there Simon, I like it a lot, very different to the traditional styles of comic illustration. Smile

Leah, yes I am Furrtiv on the business forums, and found this place via a photo you posted of your cat, which had this website on the computer screen in the shot. Smile
