What are your Christmas plans? Any cartooning gigs? Any cartooning resolutions?

Post by Leah-Admin on Sat 17 Dec - 3:10

I reckon I've done my last client cartoon logo this year...sounds dramatic but only few days left to it lol!

My cartoon resolutions? hmmmmmmm

I shall post more samples to my blog
I shall work on drawing with a digital pen...bleuh....
I shall seek out more clients!

Not much change here then Smile

Yesterday I heard I have further comic-strip commissions, doing coloured boxes for the sides of packaging on ladies'' smalls' [!]

It's all very innocent, though: I'd love to show the cartoons just now, but I signed a contract stating it's top-secret until release day [early next year].

I will certainly post examples---or a link on here---- on this site at the first opportunity, though.

I said I would submit the next pencil roughs over the weekend, so I'd better make sure I do this tomorrow.

First off - I hate Christmas. Second I don't do too many resolutions. At this time I try to do my regular Xmas and New Year weekends cartoons early and so I try to have a bit of a break.

Only resolution I will make this year - any opportunity that comes up grab it by the ba&*s with both hands! In the past I have sometimes been reluctant to try my hand at this or the other but I think that's a mistake.

Other resolution is to do as best I can to promote my stuff....again in the past I never did this but seeing as it's likely I will be leaving my day job I now know I am out of my comfort zone and I need to sweat more.

May all good hearted cartoonists who visit here have a bright and peaceful New Year:D

I'm not entirely sure what ba&*s are so I'm not really at liberty to comment but good attitude anyway! I normally just use one hand though. Suspect

Ditto, can't wait to see!

I'm not good at setting goals, and even worse at sticking with them. But I think in 2012, I would like to develop a comic strip I've been playing around with, try submitting cartoons to greeting card companies, and keep drawing.

Well, I've just completed my last 'caricature from a photo' job for the year and shutting down for at least a week...it's been hectic !
New years resolutions ?

1.Proving the non-existence of God ( nearly there, just got to tweak the formula a bit more )
2.Campaigning for the equal rights of left handed people. ( Equal Lefts ? )
3.Build a missile silo and declare myself an independent tax-exempt state ( TRY it, Inland Revenue...just try it...)

Happy Christmas !

I am constanly busy thru out the year so this time my wife and I are going to get away starting Monday for a little holiday fun. We are going to a tropic location in Southeren China and just relax. We will return on the 7th or 8th of Jan. Then on the 21st of Jan we fly off to Thailand for a 2 week vacation again.
My resoultion as far as cartooning goes, stay busy so I can do more vacations later on.
Post more Buckshot when I return (though I do not know if anyone likes them since I have no comments on it).
Try to improve my caricatures and cartooning.

Happy Holidays everyone.
