Re: Timmons Enterprise
Your art is stunning Michael
You may find with your skills and great portfolio that you do well on the freelancer.com and similar sites where you bid for projects.

Hi Rascal!
Leah is right, you should be able to obtain some Commercial success from these sites. It's worth taking the time to check them out and get to know how they work. One important thing I would like to mention is that you must have a contact info free site to act as a Portfolio when making bids on them. This is because it is part of their service to pass on these detais to any prospective Employer once a Project is awarded. So it could be worth your while building a seperate one for this purpose.
It's not easy at first and I myself am still struggling to get a foot in the door. I've won about 5 Projects so far and been rated quite highly. That's how it works. Everytime you complete a Job you get a review which is not just based on the quality of your work but on your communication skills and time- keeping. So it's really all about building a reputation.
Employers are far more willing to take a chance on someone/ Company that has a proven track record than someone with no reviews. So the way I see it is that it's always a view to the future and happy days. There are people on Freelancer.com for example that have like 4000 reviews and they just keep getting them and making a very tidy living just from that site. Elance is good as well. The best part about Freelancing like this is that it's safe. Noone can just grab your stuff and not pay you. Employers get rated by the Providers after any Project is completed as well.
