Hi Leah, and Swisstoons,

I guess I can consider myself fortunate, nothing that I know of has been taken of mine, but it is a big world.

Hi,Swisstoons nice to meet you, I just see it as going into a shopping center removing the price tag and walking out of the store,no difference.

I feel with large media site such as F/B if something was used without permission or right out pirated,it would be removed.

Being just a hobbyist the damage is not economical, but I would still would contact the site moderators,or webhost first.

This is a important issue, being that if a artist who wishes to enter this field does not get the support from media sites, hosting services, ect.,could look to other fields as career choices.Education and training take years.

Does this have a profond effect on services? Maybe not, but sites like zazzle could suffer.

On the brighter side, cartoon sites I have visited and signed up for, post very prominately a NO copyright infrigement policy. These sould be the kind of sites an artist and their fans should promote.

We have a very clear no copying message in our welcome message and our rules.

This is a good site for finding stolen content

This isn't about the sites though it's about the individual and educating the individual. We are all agreed copying is a no no. No one here is condoning it.

Meanwhile it is possible to find out if your images have been used

Yep, I think (see other post in thread re plagiarism) I will start a mini campaign to highlight the issue of copying artists work and provide easy access to info regarding how to protect it, perhaps have a page for it on the forum or something. Ideas welcome!!
