Jabrosky's beginnerish attempts at cartooning

Post by Jabrosky on Sun 25 Sep - 14:38

I'm an amateur artist who usually does serious artwork, but lately I've started drawing cartoons. Here is a small sample of my work:

This was inspired by the controversy in paleo-anthropological circles over whether Neanderthals (the white cavemen in this cartoon) ever interbred with anatomically modern humans (Homo sapiens).

Men have long complained about women talking too much, but what if women let us talk about the things we cared about?

I really like you soooooooooooooo much already Jabrosky. Very much welcome. You have a real gift and one which should be nurtured and go a long way. I love Crug. Very good indeed. And that bottom one. I can't see very clearly what they are saying but it doesn't matter. Just the expression on his face in the third frame is enough. Maybe make the text white? (Just a suggestion) I do like this Jabrosky very much. You are good, trust me. I don't normally just say these things for the sake of saying them but you have definately got something there and it is worth pursuing. If you have any questions or want any advice from someone who has been in this game for a long time then I'm right here. Hahahaha funny guy you just made my Day! (I'm assuming you are a Bloke) You need to sign and copyright with a watermark these.
This is raw talent Ladies and Gentlemen. affraid

(I can't stop laughing)

This is serious Cartooning. Make the punchlines white dude so they stand out. Don't treat them as an after thought. It is the most integral part of your gag.
