Hi Bill - like the site and the work. I use Weebly too so I'm interested in the different way you set up your site.
Cheers

Re: Hello From Western New York
Thank you Steve - Weebly has worked pretty well since most of my computer abilities could best be described as incompetent and often destructive. I noticed you're in Malta - is that the island or the town in eastern New York?

Bill

Re: Hello From Western New York
Purely Mediterranean - most of us here mistakenly believe we are the centre of the world! Not me though....
I'm aware there's a lot of places with the Malta name though. I know there's a town in Austria and there's a (malt) beer somewhere in Africa. We've sort of "colonized" other areas as well - parts of Dundas Street in Toronto are pretty much Maltese.

Re: Hello From Western New York
I've had the opportunity to visit the island - such a beautiful place! As a career Navy man, I've wandered the streets of Valetta and the beautiful cathedrals - love the place.

Re: Hello From Western New York
small world Bill....Ah that would be St.John's Cathedral in Valletta. However many churches I've visited in Europe and elsewher I still think St. John's is the most awesome

Thank you! Very nice work here as well! It's nice to find a place where others share the same passion. I'm interested in hearing about my fellow cartoonist's experiences and if they work at it professionally.

I'm enjoying your avatar Bill. Very intruiging. Is that like an Anglepoise Bank note and he's strapped for cash or what? Yes and very welcome to our humble abode as well.

It's actually out of one of my cartoons called "Financial Incentive Program" - when my 7 day limitation is up here, I'll post a link. Very glad you like it!

Re: Hello From Western New York
Hi, Bill! Welcome, and I look forward to getting to know you here. I believe most of us here are trying to become professional cartoonists, and some are doing well. Personally, I'm still working on confidence along with practice practice and more practice, with a little experimentation in between.
Re: Hello From Western New York
Kathy - you should be confident, your work is well done! Like all things, finding success in cartooning is something that takes quite a bit of time, and in some cases, just finding the best outlet suited to your work. Whether it's in published print media, online, licensing, or any of a number of possibilities, you'll find a home for your work - keep it up!
Cheers,
Bill

Re: Hello From Western New York
Thank you, Bill, that is very kind of you to say! I hope to find that home for my work soon, that would be a wonderful thing!
Re: Hello From Western New York
Me - I do some freelance work locally when I'm very lucky and I am committed to do two cartoons a week for local paper (very lucky that) My daytime job is on very shifty ground right now so I am pushing on the cartoon/illustration part of my working life. More fun but definitely less pay and not a lot of opportunities here
