I bought this Wacom Bamboo Graphics Tablet & Pen to help me draw cartoons via the computer. It's a very simple, yet effective piece of kit. Cost around £50. Leah

Post by Leah-Admin on Fri 23 Jul - 12:00

Any image created in Photoshop can just be exported to Illustrator to deem it vectorized Leah. Think about it, they're both adobe.

No. All I'm saying is ppl are familiar with adobe files and it has become the Industry standard for delivery. If you are serious about creating vectorized images Leah then get used to drawing with a mouse. Someone who does this to great effect is our very own Eileendover.

I don't want to draw with a mouse, the reason I'm in this at all, is because I enjoy the drawing process. For me that means sitting on my bed surrounded by paper and pens. I do not want to be sat at a pc for the whole process.

What I can do though is draw by hand, scan it , then trace it using a digital pen to create a vector image. I've got software that allows that type of thing. But that process will be the exception not the rule.

No one has asked me for a vector image yet, so I'm not overly worried about it, but want to familiarise msyelf with as much as possible so I'm ready to go if the need arises.

Here's a prime example of a project that appears to be very straight forward but requires vectorised images. Editable is the term used. I won't bid on something like this just quiet yet 'cos I haven't quite got my head round it but I will.
