			<description>My usual process when creating a gag uses pen, paper and the pc.



Not known for doing to much pencil work, I more often than not draw the Cartoon using Edding technical pens on bleedproof marker paper [a4], then I scan them into the pc for colouring. I colour in photoshop elements using a new transparent layer for the colour and tick &quot;use all layers&quot; to pick up the pen work below.

			<description>This was my first attempt at creating an animated cartoon. I was less concerned with the art work and more concerned with the process and mastering what is in fact very simple annimation software.



I drew a series of pictures thus:



I drew one picture and then traced it partially but altering a few aspects to create the motion I wanted which was the chicken revolving while blood spurts out. I found the placement of the feet tricky for this one, as you can tell! I drew around 5 pics this way.

			<description>I am not sure anyone will learn anything helpful from my bizarre way of cartooning, but here it is in anycase.



I should draft in pencil and sketch and so on...but I don't.



I make a single line drawing using black fibre tipped pen. My favourite for this job is Faber Castell Manga pen. I have various sized nibs.



Reason why one should sketch in pencil is that you can easily correct errors rather than relying on your first take!
